About the position

The Managing Director of Financial Partnership at Rocky Mountain Prep is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing financial management and planning across the network of charter schools. This position involves training school leaders on budget management, providing financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. The MD will collaborate closely with principals and the finance team to enhance financial processes and support the organization's mission of democratizing college access for historically marginalized students.

Responsibilities

• Train school principals to understand and manage their campus budgets.
• Provide monthly financial performance reports to principals.
• Collaborate with principals to forecast annual expenditures.
• Evaluate and improve the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) process.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the annual budget for RMP schools.
• Prepare monthly profit and loss reports with variance analysis.
• Develop financial models for ad hoc decision-making.
• Collaborate with grant managers to maintain budgets for governmental and private grants.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and timely submission of reimbursement requests.
• Maintain records for auditing and compliance purposes.

Requirements

• Experience in budgeting and financial management at a senior level.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with financial reporting.
• Ability to train and mentor school leaders in financial matters.
• Experience with grant budgeting and compliance.
