About the position
In this role, you will lead the sales strategy and execution for the US Retail Mass Merchant & Grocery sales team at Pinterest. You will be responsible for developing a multi-industry sales strategy that aligns with partner marketing objectives and drives revenue growth. This position involves building and managing a high-performing sales team, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and acting as an external spokesperson for the brand.
Responsibilities
- Lead the sales strategy and execution for the US Retail Mass Merchant & Grocery sales team.
- Develop a multi-industry sales strategy to meet partner marketing objectives and drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry CEOs, CMOs, and key executive decision-makers.
- Shape the future of the Sales organization by building, training, and motivating a high-performing sales team.
- Analyze data trends and client performance in partnership with Sales Operations and Measurement teams.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Ad Product, and Engineering teams to influence product development.
- Act as an external spokesperson and evangelize the Pinterest brand in the market.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in the digital media industry with at least 5 years of management experience.
- 2+ years managing managers.
- Proven success as an executive sales leader across revenue strategy, sales productivity, and industry partnerships.
- Deep understanding and established network in retail industries in the US.
- Strong understanding of performance, data, and measurement landscapes.
- Outstanding go-to-market strategy and operational rigor for successful execution of sales strategy.
- Strong leadership skills that inspire and drive urgency.
- Strong cross-functional partnership skills to drive discussions with product and engineering teams.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
