About the position
The Managing Healthcare Data Analyst will serve as a Technical Business Analyst, aligning the Data Analytics team with business operational requirements. This role is crucial for supporting the New York State of Health (NYSOH) system, which is integral to the Medicaid Enterprise system, focusing on eligibility, enrollment, and coverage data policy and operations.
Responsibilities
- Align Data Analytics team to Business Operational requirements.
- Support the NYSOH System for Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Essential Plan, and Qualified Health Plans.
- Document requirements and present design objectives to business end users.
- Provide data analytics results to stakeholders.
- Conduct data quality testing and build automated tests.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience with SAS, SQL, Tableau, Python, R or equivalent analytical/programming software.
- 5 years of experience with healthcare data for eligibility, enrollment, and coverage data.
- 5 years of experience with NYSOH data.
- 10 years of experience as a technical business analyst in large technology systems.
- 10 years of experience in documenting requirements and presenting design objectives.
- 10 years of experience with advanced knowledge in data mining tools such as SQL, PL/SQL.
- 5 years of experience as a data quality tester using database tools.
- 10 years of experience with advanced knowledge in DB2 and Oracle.
- Expertise with business intelligence/data visualization tools such as COGNOS, Tableau, and Excel.
Nice-to-haves
- 5 years of experience in technology process improvement projects.
- 5 years of experience tracking tasks as part of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is helpful but not required.
- Good understanding of Data modeling and Data Mart best practices.
