About the position

The Mandarin Research, Development, and Acquisition (RDA) Analyst at V2X is responsible for conducting research and analysis focused on the military applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). This role emphasizes understanding foreign entities involved in AI/ML research and development, providing critical support to government clients.

Responsibilities

  • Produce finished all source analytic products in accordance with Intelligence Community (IC) Directives and security classification guidelines and publish to the IC using the Command's designated report publishing program.
  • Develop a queue and establish a schedule to perform regular searches on items identified in the queue.
  • Perform ad-hoc research to identify new organizations, entities, topics, and other information of interest.
  • Discover and identify entities of interest to establish collection methods and develop networks using appropriate software programs.
  • Characterize networks, formulate assessments on findings, and prioritize.
  • Create and maintain a system to document and track resources for discovery by ONI analysts and attend bi-monthly meetings with Government lead to discuss.
  • Develop a system to track requests-for-information (RFIs) and document updates/progress, attending bi-monthly meetings with Government lead to discuss.
  • Attend production and workgroup meetings, as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in National Security, Regional Studies, or relevant technical academic studies.
  • Must have and maintain Mandarin language proficiency as verified by at least a 2.0 rating on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale with a current test score.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and translate S&T lexicon in the target language.
  • Demonstrated experience using managed attribution systems/programs for safe open source research.
  • Recent experience producing finished all source analytic products in accordance with IC directives and understanding of classification guidelines.
  • Experience performing link/network analysis using appropriate software programs.
  • Demonstrated clear written and oral communication skills.
  • Minimum one year of experience using Microsoft Office software programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with managed attribution systems, unclassified, and classified resources for research.
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
