About the position

NeighborHealth is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager for its Family Medicine Department. This role involves supporting the Administrative and Medical Director in department development, monitoring workflows, and ensuring quality service delivery in line with the health center's mission. The Operations Manager will assist in maximizing health center revenues and improving patient experiences, while also collaborating with IT to enhance reporting for better patient care. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Create, enter, and adjust templates and schedules for staff.
  • Develop and distribute the 'On Call Schedule' with the medical director as needed.
  • Monitor productivity of professional staff and assist with report utilization.
  • Coordinate schedules for nurses, medical assistants, and clerical support, including processing time off requests.
  • Approve payroll within Workday as directed by the Administrative Director.
  • Assess staffing patterns to ensure efficient use of personnel and resources.
  • Promote teamwork through inclusion and collaboration.
  • Assist in planning for capital equipment needs with the Administrative Director.
  • Conduct monthly patient-safety audits and respond to patient feedback.
  • Review incident reports and plan quality improvements based on trends.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs with the administrative director.
  • Act as a clinical resource and role model to staff.
  • Liaise with internal departments such as Finance, HR, and Clinical Teams.
  • Participate in required departmental activities and meetings.
  • Engage in the yearly budget process.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in an ambulatory care practice setting.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant management experience.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
