About the position
The Senior SAP MRO Business Analyst role is a hands-on position within the SAP support organization, focusing on resolving complex business problems related to the Advanced Structures SAP system. The analyst will work closely with various functional areas including Material Repair Overhaul (MRO), Plant Maintenance (PM), Quality Management (QM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Inventory Management (IM). This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to develop solutions within SAP, while also providing training and support to end users.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex SAP business problems and develop solutions within SAP using available tools and technologies.
- Create detailed enhancement designs based on end user specifications to present to SAP Functional Councils and IT as needed.
- Develop and deliver SAP end user documentation, processes, and training as needed by the SBU.
- Provide consultation to users regarding processes and procedures to ensure business efficiencies in SAP.
- Act as the SAP Liaison for Lean Events conducted by the business.
- Encourage disciplined use of SAP systems and processes.
- Assist in setting up new divisional objectives such as new plants, organizational changes, and new products.
- Perform system regression testing for new releases or upgrades to SAP.
- Assist in the development or enhancement of functional reporting capabilities in SAP.
- Lead training for other SBUs on new SAP releases.
- Resolve end user trouble tickets in a timely manner in compliance with SLA.
- Lead/manage several components of a project or a complex component of a larger project.
- Provide effective training and communications on how SAP tools and techniques are applied to business processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and 8+ years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 7+ years of SAP hands-on experience working in a focus area in the system.
- 2-3 years' experience leading cross-functional team events, including continuous improvement/lean events and end user training.
