About the position

Aircraft Performance Group, LLC (APG) is seeking a Manual QA Engineer to join our team in Castle Rock, CO. This is a full-time, on-site position where the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software products. The Manual QA Engineer will be responsible for reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide testing and feedback. The role involves creating test plans and test cases, designing, developing, and executing test cases, and identifying, recording, documenting, and tracking bugs. The QA Engineer will also check fixes and close bugs, completing the quality testing cycle, and perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. In addition to testing, the Manual QA Engineer will communicate with various teams including the Development Team, Data Team, and Operations Team. Participation in all required meetings due to the SCRUM process is essential, and the candidate will take an active part in grooming and planning sessions. The role also includes demoing features during Sprint review meetings. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, and have the ability to deliver high-quality tested features and bugs while optimizing and improving QA processes. Continuous development of professional skills in the Quality Assurance domain is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide testing and feedback
  • Creates test plans and test cases
  • Designs, develops and executes test cases
  • Identifies, records, documents, and track bugs
  • Checks fixes and closes bugs; completes the quality testing cycle
  • Performs thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Communicates with Dev Team, Data Team, OPS Team
  • Attends all required meetings due to SCRUM process and takes active part in grooming and planning sessions
  • Demos features on Sprint review meetings

Requirements

  • 2+ years of commercial experience as a QA engineer
  • Relevant knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Ability to write clear, concise and comprehensive bug reports and test cases
  • Experience using different Test Design Techniques
  • Experience in Web testing
  • Experience in API testing
  • Ability to deliver high-quality tested features/bugs
  • Experience in QA processes optimization and improvement
  • Constant development of professional skills in Quality Assurance domain.
