About the position

The Manual QA Tester at Virtusa is responsible for ensuring the quality of software products through comprehensive manual testing. This role involves creating and executing test plans and test cases, identifying and reporting bugs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality. The position requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies and the ability to troubleshoot and debug issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct manual testing across various platforms and devices.
• Create and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on product specifications.
• Identify, report, and track bugs using bug tracking systems like Jira.
• Review test plans created by the engineering team and provide feedback to improve test coverage.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to support defect triaging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in manual testing, including platforms and device testing.
• Proficiency in bug identification, reporting, tracking, and retesting.
• Experience with testing tools and methodologies, particularly Jira.
• Basic knowledge of software testing methodologies and defect triage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
