About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manual Tester to join our team on a 3-month remote contract, with the potential for extension. The primary focus of this role will be to test an Excel add-on feature for a prominent credit rating agency client.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough manual testing of the Excel add-on feature to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Develop, document, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues using appropriate tools.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not affected by new changes.
• Provide detailed and accurate test reports and documentation.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other project meetings as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Manual Tester, preferably with experience in testing Excel add-ons or similar applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in using testing tools and bug tracking systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Excel macros and VBA.
• Understanding of data security and privacy considerations.
