About the position

The Manual Software Tester position at CACI involves working as a Test Engineer within the BEAGLE Agile Solution Factory Team, supporting the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) client. The role focuses on ensuring the quality and functionality of software systems through various testing methodologies, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing. The ideal candidate will contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that enhance national security.

Responsibilities

  • Developing test procedures for backlog items including system, functional, regression, performance, load, installation, security, interoperability, stress, boundary tests.
  • Implementing quality assurance methodologies to ensure compliance with standards and procedures.
  • Executing software test plans, test cases, and scripts for various testing types to identify and resolve software issues.
  • Establishing a process for evaluating hardware, software, and documentation.
  • Mapping tasks and tests to backlog items for requirements traceability.
  • Supporting independent User Acceptance Testing.
  • Collaborating with product teams to ensure product success and quality.
  • Participating in Agile Scrum activities including planning, testing, and retrospectives.
  • Working with developers and product managers to define automated testing components.
  • Assisting in the design of test scenarios and plans for automation.
  • Creating project resource estimates and metrics for tracking progress and quality.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to pass a CBP background investigation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline (experience accepted in lieu of degree).
  • 5 or more years of experience in an IT-related field.
  • Familiarity with Information Security best practices.
  • Experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Automated Testing concepts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
