About the position

The Manufacturing 12 Month Industrial Quality Internship at L'Oreal Dermatological Beauty in Somerset, NJ, offers a unique opportunity for candidates to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This internship is designed for individuals who are passionate about quality assurance and are eager to contribute to the installation and qualification of new technologies in the manufacturing process. Interns will work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to support various initiatives, including hygiene projects, cleaning validations, and the Annual Product Review. Interns will be involved in generating and executing equipment validations, which include Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ). They will also assist in the validation of Clean In Place (CIP) and Sanitize In Place (SIP) processes for both existing and new recipes. Additionally, interns will help create electronic cleaning logs (E-CLAIRS) for manufacturing areas and support other QA functions such as Product Evaluation Testing and Annual Product Review Reports. The role will also require participation in capability studies and statistical sampling validations, as well as ACD testing and qualification. Interns will have the chance to engage in risk assessments and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively. This internship not only provides practical experience but also fosters professional growth through learning and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Support installation and qualification of new vessel and/or line technologies in a manufacturing environment.
  • Generate and execute equipment validations (IQ, OQ, PQ).
  • Generate and execute CIP/SIP validations for existing and new recipes.
  • Assist with creating E-CLAIRS for manufacturing areas.
  • Assist with other QA functions as needed, including Product Evaluation Testing and Annual Product Review Reports.
  • Assist with SCOOP validations and ACD testing/qualification.
  • Participate in risk assessments.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to drive projects to completion.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be actively enrolled or have received a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering or similar discipline within the last 12 months.
  • Lab experience preferred.
