About the position

The Manufacturing and Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the production process within the plant, managing multiple teams, and ensuring operational efficiency. This role involves driving manufacturing strategies, enhancing customer-centric approaches, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Transformational Process of the SAMER Manufacturing Area to strengthen FLS's Value Proposition.
• Drive the Manufacturing Strategy in the Polyurethane and PVC areas with an End-to-End perspective.
• Collaborate with the commercial area to enhance the Customer-Centric approach of the SAMER manufacturing strategy.
• Identify, analyze, and design innovative processes that allow for continuous improvement of operations.
• Responsible for meeting the key performance indicators of the Renca plant in terms of Lead Time, Cost, Quality, and Safety.
• Oversee the administration of the Renca Plant regarding production, maintenance, organization, and facility design to meet local requirements and regulations.
• Manage, develop, and evaluate the various collaborators at the Renca Site to form High-Performance teams.
• Ensure the management, planning, and quality control of assembly, repair, manufacturing, and storage activities within the Renca Plant.
• Guarantee a safe working environment by complying with FLSmidth policies and local regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Business
• 10 years of experience managing Production Plants
• Experience in the manufacturing process
• Knowledge, background, and experience in polyurethane & rubber repair & assembly work
• English- Intermediate to advanced
• Experience in lean manufacturing, 5 S, and 6-Sigma
• Experience in ERP platforms
