About the position

The Manufacturing Assembly Technician position at Nocturn Industries is an entry-level role focused on assembling night vision systems and related accessories. The technician will perform various tasks on the manufacturing floor, including assembly, testing, and quality control, while working in a flexible schedule environment that promotes growth and skill development.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical subcomponents and subsystems.
• Assemble electronic components and perform submersion testing.
• Conduct purge testing and assemble electronic sensors and image intensification tubes.
• Align and calibrate lens assemblies.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting tasks.
• Conduct quality control checks on assembled products.
• Skilled use of hand tools for assembly and packaging.
• Function testing of assembled products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with soldering and electrical wiring.
• Ability to use hand tools effectively.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to use threading tools, reamers, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, etc.
• General knowledge of night vision systems.
• Experience with bench top press, drill press, Bridgeport mill, bench grinder, sand blaster, and SLS printing equipment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and work instructions.
