About the position
The Manufacturing Assembly Technician role at Aerotek involves engaging in the assembly of Industrial Power Systems within a heavy-industrial manufacturing environment. The position requires mechanical assembly skills, particularly with sheet metal and metal enclosures, while utilizing various hand and power tools. The technician will work collaboratively in teams and must be prepared for physical demands associated with the job.
Responsibilities
- Engage in the mechanical assembly of Industrial Power Systems.
- Work with sheet metal and assemble metal enclosures.
- Utilize hand and power tools including drills, tape measures, screwdrivers, wrenches, and impact tools.
- Assemble units based on blueprints.
- Collaborate with team members during the assembly process.
- Stand, stoop, and bend throughout the day to access various parts of the units.
- Perform assembly tasks inside units that are approximately 8 ft. tall.
Requirements
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing assembly processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
