About the position

The Manufacturing Associate role at U.S. Pipe involves operating machinery to fabricate pipe components, ensuring quality and precision in the manufacturing process. The position emphasizes teamwork, career growth, and a commitment to producing high-quality water and wastewater products.

Responsibilities

  • Identify fabrication requirements written on each piece of pipe.
  • Place pipe in machine, center the pipe, and tighten for work.
  • Machine tapered threads into the pipe while verifying measurements such as thread depth and correct taper.
  • Test the flange to ensure it screws onto the pipe properly and make adjustments if necessary.
  • Apply glue on pipe and flange and use the machine to tighten the flange onto the pipe.
  • Run the cutting tool across the surface of the face of the flange to flush fit the flange onto the pipe.
  • Remove pipe from machine and place on boards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired.
  • Previous experience with machinery is desired.
  • Good with math, able to read a tape measure and micrometer.
  • Ability to understand machinery processes.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
