About the position

Ecolab has an opening for a Manufacturing Excellence TPM Engineer in Supply Chain North America. This role is designed for passionate professionals who are eager to engage in unique regional projects that enable a large manufacturing organization. As part of the Manufacturing Excellence team, you will be instrumental in supporting plant operations to drive improvements in cost, material loss, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across the Legacy Ecolab network Manufacturing Plants. This is a Traveling Engineering/Project Management role, which means you will be expected to travel approximately 75% of the time to various project locations. In this position, you will lead initiatives aimed at enhancing operations by leveraging Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tools. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with stakeholders to deliver effective improvement solutions. You will be tasked with identifying, scoping, and executing projects alongside the plant operations team, ensuring a steady pipeline of future projects. The timelines for these projects will vary, typically ranging from 3 to 6 months throughout the year. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of understanding existing operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing a roadmap to achieve manufacturing excellence. Responsibilities

  • Identify critical operational projects to drive cost, material loss, and OEE improvements
  • Project management of a portfolio of improvement projects
  • Design and deploy new solutions for existing outdated data pipelines
  • Partner with the local plant team and regional TPM team in identifying projects, execution, tool deployment, and delivery of results
  • Proactively make recommendations and identify opportunities to enable manufacturing transformation within the Supply Chain organization
  • Train others in systems, tools, and processes
  • Lead automation of processes and analyses

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
  • 2+ years experience in an analytical or business intelligence role, production management role, or project engineering role
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with TPM tools - primarily AM, PM, and FI
  • Operations financial knowledge and acumen
  • Ability to create, implement, document, and continuously improve processes in a changing environment
  • Projects demonstrating strong automation mindset
  • Ability to travel at least 75% of the time

Nice-to-haves

  • Training or experience in data engineering skills such as ETL, data warehousing, database systems, data analysis, and machine learning
  • History of managing and delivering multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously
