About the position

The Manufacturing Controller at CCG Business Solutions, LLC is a vital role based at the Leola, Arkansas sawmill, responsible for providing analytical support for financial decisions and overseeing the financial operations of the plant. This position involves supervising office staff, managing financial reporting, budget preparation, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX regulations.

Responsibilities

• Learn and develop a strong understanding of the various aspects of the mill to provide insight into areas of improvement and accounting processes.
• Support the timely and accurate reporting of financial, operational, and statistical data.
• Develop and maintain reporting of financial and non-financial key performance indicators.
• Support West Fraser accounting activities including accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Manage month-end close process and reporting, general ledger reconciliations, account analyses, etc.
• Maintain adequate internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and SOX.
• Weekly cost reporting and forecasting.
• Inventory control and analysis.
• Ad-hoc assignments from mill management or other projects as assigned.
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and control main office.

Requirements

• A 4-year degree in business, accounting, or finance
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Accounting (Equipment, capital projects)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Experience with SOX compliance
• Supervisory experience
• Oracle financial system experience
• Innate sense of integrity and ethics
• Highly motivated and a self-starter with the initiative to learn and grow
• Ability to handle pressure well
