About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT/OT Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our organization's data architecture and infrastructure, with a specific emphasis on supporting a Manufacturing Organization. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, a deep understanding of data management principles and systems integration, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience in developing data architectures for manufacturing results, familiarity with data visualization tools, and demonstrated experience working in support of a Manufacturing Organization are highly desirable. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design scalable and efficient data architectures tailored for manufacturing processes. You will develop and maintain data models, schemas, and structures to support business needs, focusing on key manufacturing process indicators such as yield, cycle times, SPC, trending, and process interdependencies. You will also ensure that the data architecture aligns with industry best practices and supports the unique needs of manufacturing processes, implementing strategies for optimizing data storage and retrieval, considering the volume and velocity of manufacturing data. Additionally, you will manage system integrations between Manufacturing, OT, and Enterprise IT environments, including configuration management for system-to-system communication. You will design, implement, and optimize ETL processes to move and transform manufacturing data from diverse sources to the data warehouse, ensuring data pipeline reliability, scalability, and performance. Your role will also involve integrating manufacturing data from various systems, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability, and collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless data flow across the organization. You will apply your expertise in manufacturing data to analyze and interpret key process indicators, collaborating with manufacturing teams to identify data-driven insights that contribute to process optimization and improvement. Furthermore, you will implement and enforce data quality standards and data governance best practices specific to manufacturing data, monitoring and troubleshooting data quality issues in collaboration with relevant teams for resolution. You will manage and optimize database systems, ensuring data availability and performance, while implementing and maintaining data security measures to protect sensitive manufacturing information. Lastly, you will demonstrate familiarity with leading data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI, creating compelling and insightful visualizations of manufacturing data to facilitate analysis and interpretation.
