About the position

Adecco is now hiring for a Manufacturing Demand Planner position with one of the largest health food and supplement companies located in the San Fernando Valley. This role is crucial in ensuring that the company meets its production and inventory planning requirements through accurate forecasting. The Manufacturing Demand Planner will utilize various planning tools to create precise SKU/DC forecasts, which are essential for maintaining the supply chain's efficiency and effectiveness. In this position, the planner will diagnose issues in the forecast by assessing the impact of variances in forecasted items and making necessary adjustments. This requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to interpret data effectively. The role involves interfacing with multiple departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Marketing, as well as the company's customers, to incorporate all aspects of market intelligence into the forecasting process. The Manufacturing Demand Planner will own the collaborative SKU forecast process and ensure that communication and collaboration are maintained at an excellent level across all teams. Additionally, the planner will be responsible for maintaining both current and long-term forecasts that drive production and inventory planning requirements. This includes providing projections for corporate cash flow analysis and updating all levels of the company with forecast information. The ability to present information clearly, both verbally and in written reports, is essential for this role. The position offers a competitive pay rate starting at $40 to $55 per hour, along with a range of benefits after just one week of employment, including medical, dental, and vision options. Responsibilities

  • Utilizes planning tools to create accurate SKU/DC forecasts.
  • Diagnoses problems in the forecast by assessing the impact of variances of forecasted items and makes appropriate forecast adjustments.
  • Interfaces with Sales, Marketing, Customer Marketing, and client's customers to incorporate all aspects of market intelligence into the forecasting environment.
  • Maintains an excellent level of communication and collaboration.
  • Owns the collaborative SKU forecast process and plans.
  • Maintains current and long-term forecasts required to drive production and inventory planning requirements.
  • Provides projections for corporate cash flow analysis.
  • Updates all levels of the company with forecast information, including ongoing analysis and interpretation of data.
  • Presents information verbally and in written reports.

Requirements

  • Requires a four-year college or university degree or equivalent work experience.
  • APICS, IBF, or other supply chain certification preferred.
  • Requires two to five years of experience in forecasting, analysis, reporting, sales finance, or statistics.
  • CPG experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, presentation, and human relations skills.
  • Thorough understanding of forecasting techniques/applications, insight into the financial and operational implications inherent in supply chain decision-making.
