About the position

Adecco is currently seeking a Manufacturing Demand Planner for one of the largest health food and supplement companies located in the San Fernando Valley. This position is a contract/temporary role that offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $40 to $55. The Manufacturing Demand Planner will play a crucial role in utilizing planning tools to create accurate forecasts for stock-keeping units (SKU) and distribution centers (DC). The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing issues in the forecast by assessing the impact of variances in forecasted items and making necessary adjustments to improve accuracy. In this role, the Manufacturing Demand Planner will interface with various departments including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Marketing, as well as the company's customers, to incorporate all aspects of market intelligence into the forecasting process. Maintaining a high level of communication and collaboration is essential, as the planner will own the collaborative SKU forecast process and plans. Additionally, the planner will be tasked with maintaining both current and long-term forecasts that are critical for driving production and inventory planning requirements, as well as providing projections for corporate cash flow analysis. The Manufacturing Demand Planner will also be responsible for providing updates on forecast information to all levels of the company, which includes ongoing analysis and interpretation of data. This information will be presented both verbally and in written reports, ensuring that stakeholders are well-informed of the forecasting status and any necessary adjustments.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes planning tools to create accurate SKU/DC forecasts.
  • Diagnoses problems in the forecast by assessing the impact of variances of forecasted items and makes appropriate forecast adjustments.
  • Interfaces with Sales, Marketing, Customer Marketing, and client's customers to incorporate all aspects of market intelligence into the forecasting environment.
  • Maintains an excellent level of communication and collaboration.
  • Owns the collaborative SKU forecast process and plans.
  • Maintains current and long-term forecasts required to drive production and inventory planning requirements.
  • Provides projections for corporate cash flow analysis.
  • Provides all levels of the company with updates of forecast information, including ongoing analysis and interpretation of data.
  • Presents information verbally, as well as in written reports.

Requirements

  • Requires a four-year college or university degree or equivalent work experience.
  • APICS, IBF, or other supply chain certification preferred.
  • Requires two to five years of experience in forecasting, analysis, reporting, sales finance, or statistics.
  • CPG experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, presentation, and human relations skills.
  • Thorough understanding of forecasting techniques/applications, insight into the financial and operational implications in supply chain decision-making.
