Responsibilities

• Uses computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs.
• Communicate both verbally and in writing, in concise and effective manner with technical organization, manufacturing operators and with customers.
• Analyzes engineering data and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposal and prepare modifications where required.
• Clarify and resolve problems and develop capacitor designs.
• Directs and coordinates manufacturing or building of prototype products or systems.
• Plans and develop experimental test programs.
• Analyzes test data and prepares reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.
• Interface with customers and suppliers to develop and/or clarify requirements.
• Work with manufacturing to improve Design for Manufacturability.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Knowledge of ERP Systems and the impact engineering has creating BOMs, routing and item masters.
• BSME OR BSEE.
• Experience with developing a product from concept to production.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience working with manufacturing-based technology, processing, and principles (MS project, AS400, Lean Six Sigma).
• Must be able to handle high stress levels and deadlines.
