About the position

Join the leading beverage provider, Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling, as a Manufacturing Electrical Controls Specialist. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment from various suppliers. The specialist will identify and prioritize controls and electrical opportunities to maximize operational performance within a production facility. The role involves developing and maintaining electrical and controls system documentation, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively. The Manufacturing Electrical Controls Specialist will execute projects involving PLC 5, SLC 500, Controls Logix, Panel View Plus, various VFDs, and iFix. A key responsibility will be to provide training in Controls and Electricity to Maintenance Technicians, aimed at minimizing production downtime. The specialist will also configure and maintain industrial networks, such as Ethernet, DeviceNet, and Remote I/O, and develop routines and SOPs to maintain control assets. In addition to these responsibilities, the specialist will assist the Controls Engineering Group with the installation of the Line Information System (LIS) and maintain process documentation, including P+ID, Ladder, and CAD drawings. The role requires maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment, administering control software, and supporting the supervision of electrical installation and integration of equipment and controls. The specialist will work collaboratively with the team to achieve measurable results within allocated timeframes, prioritize critical work, and stay updated on emerging technologies to innovate and document electrical and controls processes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment from various suppliers.
  • Identify and prioritize controls and electrical opportunities to maximize operations performance within a production facility.
  • Develop and maintain electrical and controls system documentation.
  • Execute projects involving PLC 5, SLC 500, Controls Logix, Panel View Plus, various VFDs, and iFix.
  • Provide training in Controls and Electricity to Maintenance Technicians to minimize production downtime.
  • Configure and maintain industrial networks, i.e., Ethernet, DeviceNet, and Remote I/O.
  • Develop routines and SOPs to properly maintain the controls assets.
  • Assist the Controls Engineering Group with the installation of the Line Information System (LIS).
  • Maintain process documentation (P+ID, Ladder, CAD drawings).
  • Administer control software to balance mechanical and controls changes effectively.
  • Support the supervision of the electrical installation and integration of equipment and controls.
  • Cooperate with the team to achieve measurable results within allocated timeframes.
  • Identify the most critical work that needs to be done and prioritize it.
  • Coordinate and organize resources and people effectively to accomplish goals.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and document electrical and controls processes.
  • Assist with calibration procedures for process instruments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 plus years of controls experience in an industrial environment, or HS Diploma/GED or Technical School Certification and 6 plus years of controls experience in an industrial environment.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting mindset.
  • Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and Networks, i.e., DeviceNet, Remote IO, Data Highway Plus, and Ethernet.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with PNP and NPN sensors, Rockwell Software, and Servo motors.
  • Experience with CMMS software, i.e., SAP.
