About the position

The Manufacturing Electrical Quality Assurance Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the production team by ensuring high product quality standards. This position involves inspecting prefabricated electrical and metal assemblies, conducting tests, and identifying defects to maintain compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and collaboration within a family-like culture at Interstates, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Ensure testing and inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Review and revise testing procedures and production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct manual and automated quality checks, inspections, and tests on products during various stages of the production process.
• Identify defects and deviations from standards, document them, and work with relevant teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken.
• Ensure employees adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Communicate safety and quality infringements to the Quality Assurance Manager and work together for resolution.
• Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with recommended quality improvements.
• Adhere to ISO Standards, ISO audit preparedness, and ISO document control.
• Identify and make quality improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• An associate degree or experience in a related field, such as industrial technology, manufacturing, or electrical is helpful but not required.
