About the position

As a Manufacturing Engineer 3 at Actalent, you will tackle a variety of challenges on any given day. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting machine issues, creating prototype drawings for broken fixtures, and utilizing 3D printing technologies in our lab. You will also be involved in machine relocations, preparing Process Change Notices (PCNs), addressing tooling issues, and sourcing replacements for obsolete parts. A significant portion of your role, approximately 70%, will be hands-on on the shop floor, supporting daily operations and process improvements. You will collaborate closely with quality engineers, operators, and team leads to resolve machine-related issues and enhance manufacturing processes. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machine issues on the shop floor.
• Create prototype drawings for broken fixtures.
• Utilize 3D printing technologies in the lab.
• Participate in machine relocations and prepare Process Change Notices (PCNs).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineer experience.
• Experience in process improvement and validation.

Nice-to-haves

• CNC machine operation with grinding experience.
• Machining skills (mills, lathes, grinders).
• AutoCAD proficiency.
• 3D modeling and printing.
