Responsibilities

  • Ensure that manufacturing processes are in full compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet the expectations of the Zero Harm program.
  • Ensure that manufacturing processes are capable of achieving and sustaining the design definition, and that processes are followed so that our products and those of our suppliers conform to their specification.
  • Drive a culture of zero defects within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant company, legislative and technical policies and standards including RRMS, SABRe and Export Control and Intellectual Property requirements.
  • Ensure application of manufacturing process controls within their area of accountability.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for new or improved manufacturing processes, digital systems and technologies.
  • Plan and manage activities including schedule, resources and costs, gaining buy-off and communicating current status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, validate, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes, digital systems and/or methods of manufacture.
  • Work with Manufacturing Process Owners to drive manufacturing processes towards identified consistent best practice.
  • Work with interfacing teams and local experts to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes and digital systems are understood.
  • Responsible for self-development to meet the required competencies for the role.
  • Operate beneficial relationships with partners and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Engineering with 4+ years of engineering experience, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of engineering experience, OR
  • Master's degree in Engineering, OR
  • JD/PhD in Science, Technology or Engineering, OR
  • In lieu of a degree 6+ years of engineering experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with the manufacture of Ceramic Matrix Composite Components or Aerospace Components with coating operations.
  • Experience with Method Verification Approval process steps and considerations needed to complete equivalent or better fixed process changes.
  • Experience with Planning, Executing, and Approving First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Experience with quality and validation requirements including PFMEA, MVA, FAIR, APQP, and PPAP.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing best practices is strongly desirable.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification with completed projects.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Systems (CAD, CAM, CAPP, Manufacturing Execution System, Manufacturing Intelligence, SAP, Technical Publications, etc.).
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of process capability analysis.
  • Proficiency in using statistical tools to assess process performance against specification limits.
