About the position

Amazon Web Services' Hardware Engineering team is seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers to contribute to the development of the world's leading cloud computing platform. In this role, you will operate within a dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-platform international manufacturing and production environment. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating closely with Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), Contract Manufacturers (CMs), and internal AWS hardware and software development teams, as well as upstream component vendors. You will be tasked with designing, scaling up, and continuously optimizing manufacturing processes by applying lean manufacturing principles and incorporating Design for Excellence (DFX) feedback into hardware design. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of incoming hardware for AWS products. This involves monitoring, reporting, and investigating any manufacturing issues and early-life product failures. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will serve as a technical contact, taking full ownership of manufacturing process challenges and driving efforts to understand the root causes of hardware failures and deficiencies in supplier manufacturing processes. AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring that the cloud remains operational. This team supports all AWS data centers and manages the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that provide customers with uninterrupted access to essential innovations. You will be part of a diverse team that includes software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers, all working together to uphold the highest standards of safety and security while delivering exceptional capacity at the lowest possible cost. At AWS, we foster an inclusive culture that values diverse experiences and encourages bold ideas. We believe in work-life harmony, striving for flexibility in our working culture to ensure that success at work does not come at the expense of personal sacrifices.
