As a Manufacturing Engineer I, you will provide the technical manufacturing liaison required for the production of high-quality products through all phases of production. You will act as a liaison between the Customer, Program Manager, Procurement, Assembly, and Quality Departments to promote an efficient and well-organized manufacturing operation. Your role will also involve providing support for test processes on the production floor and product startups, utilizing your knowledge and use of Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and RF Power Meters. You will lead continuous improvement reviews and provide product evaluations to improve the product assembly and testing yields. Analyzing test data for trends, coordinating the installation of production test equipment, and performing test equipment qualifications and characterization will be key responsibilities. You will also propose ideas for custom tooling for overall test process and equipment improvement, participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities, and assist in reviewing engineering design drawings and DFX reports prior to production release for testability. Your contributions will extend to developing product-specific test programs, reviewing and developing assembly drawings and work instructions, and working with cross-functional teams to address corrective actions. You will assist maintenance in developing preventative maintenance and calibration procedures, analyze line return information to understand and drive corrective action on test process issues, and comply with all company policies and procedures. Additionally, you will evaluate the requirements for assembly tooling, fixtures, and equipment required to support the manufacturing operations, participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, and assist in monitoring daily production activities to promote efficiency of operation. In this role, you will also provide manufacturing assembly/test flow charts and layouts required to support the product flow and assembly sequence, coordinate with groups to provide technical product or specification drawing interpretations, and conduct any special manufacturing projects as directed by management. Your active participation in Lean projects and activities will be essential to the success of the team.
