In this role, you will act as a liaison collaborating with production and providing support to production operators and technicians in the form of technical advice, fixture design, and work instructions. The primary focus of this role is training and learning. You will spend the bulk of your time learning the business, our products, engineering tools, and other business functions, working closely with other Manufacturing Engineers on the team. You will participate in the design and arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure a more efficient and productive layout. You will ideate and propose the sequence of operations and installations and support in specifying procedures for fabrication of tools and equipment and other processes which may include disassembly/assembly and repairs, to ensure efficiency and optimize performance. Additionally, you will participate in the development of manufacturing processes that are applicable to process control to ensure compliance and effective production. You may check and validate that mandatory modifications, programs, and bulletins are incorporated or complied with, as required by the customer and the applicable regulatory requirements, to ensure legal compliance and adherence to quality standards. You will design and develop manufacturing processes for products, taking into consideration problems inherent in the transfer of technology from research to manufacturing. Such design and development may include new or revised processes. You will develop procedures for economical mass production in cooperation with pilot-plant and production departments. Conducting tests and measurements throughout the stages of production to determine control over applicable variables; and services, troubleshoots and solves production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation will also be part of your responsibilities. You will review field support requirements and recommend tools and test equipment, as well as determine maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. You may also make recommendations concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials.
