The Manufacturing Engineer II position at Jabil involves a range of responsibilities focused on engineering and project management within a manufacturing environment. The engineer will be tasked with defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions to support manufacturing processes. Advanced PC skills are essential, particularly familiarity with Jabil's software packages, as well as the ability to write correspondence and comprehend visual aids. The role also demands a common-sense approach to executing simple instructions and dealing with standardized situations that may have occasional variables. In this position, the engineer will utilize their mathematical skills to perform calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across various units of measure. They will also compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and be able to draw and interpret graphs effectively. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, along with 2-4 years of relevant work experience in engineering or project management. Experience in metal cutting and medical devices is preferred, as well as knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and Root Cause analysis techniques. This role is critical in ensuring that manufacturing processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with industry standards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline preferred.

  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be considered.
  • Metal cutting experience preferred.
  • Medical Device experience preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma and Root Cause analysis experience preferred.
