About the position

This position is responsible for developing and optimizing continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. The role involves collecting production data and applying standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. The individual will establish procedures, support new product launches, verify processes, troubleshoot, and assist production areas, ensuring production feasibility, implementing manufacturing strategies, and investigating root causes that can significantly impact key performance indicators (KPIs). Daily communication with multiple stakeholder groups is essential to provide expert guidance on processes, driving process improvement through teamwork and collaboration. The role also includes process revalidation to reduce cycle and setup times to the lowest possible duration without sacrificing part quality. The individual will assist in training supervisors, leads, operators, and maintenance staff in the safe and proper usage of equipment and tooling. Additionally, they will coordinate and train operators to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and implement 5S methodologies. Troubleshooting and preventing safety and quality issues are critical aspects of this role, which includes reviewing new and existing tools, equipment, and production methods with tooling technicians. The position requires interaction with production supervisors for scheduling and troubleshooting requirements, providing process direction and training to operators. The individual will lead cross-functional team activities to identify top issues, plan and implement appropriate corrective actions, and track and validate effectiveness. Furthermore, the role involves exploring, investigating, and implementing future processes, production methods, and equipment with a strong inclination towards Industry 4.0. This includes exhibiting an entrepreneurial spirit, creating and pitching business cases for capital expenditure (CAPEX) requests, and implementing new processes and equipment from start to finish, including documentation of machine parameters and operator work instructions, as well as purchasing peripheral equipment. The individual will also develop and assist in process and product monitoring, including validation with internal and external customers.
