The Manufacturing Engineer II (Safety) at Lozier Corporation plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient manufacturing of store fixtures. In this position, the Manufacturing Engineer II will oversee small to medium-sized projects that may have less clearly defined goals. The engineer will be tasked with developing Appropriation Requests (AR) and managing the implementation of projects within specified time frames. Additionally, the engineer will assist and guide support personnel, including technicians and maintenance staff, in technical matters, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles effectively. The role also involves developing, installing, and maintaining processes that ensure the safe manufacture of quality products. This includes creating procedures and providing training on new processes, tools, and equipment. The engineer will be responsible for defining preventative and predictive maintenance requirements and conducting mechanical evaluations of processes and equipment as needed. Furthermore, the engineer will coordinate corrections to production problems using sound engineering techniques and will be expected to develop alternate methods to ensure continued production during emergencies.
