About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer II position at Abbott focuses on supporting the Manufacturing organization within the Cardiac Rhythm Management division. This role is essential for facilitating efficient operations, optimizing processes, and ensuring production goals are met. The engineer will monitor equipment performance, address quality issues, and collaborate with various departments to integrate new products into manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and completes technical activities leading to new or improved products or processes.
• Prepares reports and presentations to communicate findings.
• Analyzes and solves problems using engineering principles and innovative approaches.
• Develops expertise in a specific field to become a recognized leader within the company.
• Incorporates business policies into task completion and understands customer needs.
• Cultivates internal and external networks to complete tasks effectively.
• Mentors and trains new engineers and employees, providing guidance and feedback.
• Leads project teams, determining goals and objectives for projects.
• Acts as a consultant for engineering interpretations and advice on significant matters.
• Plans, organizes, and prioritizes daily work to meet established schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of related work experience with a good understanding of the functional area.
• Working technical knowledge and application of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
• General understanding of business unit/group functions.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree preferred.
