Coordination and advisory roles will be necessary for establishing and applying methods, materials, and equipment effectively. The engineer will provide technical assistance to supervisors, helping them understand manufacturing plans and achieve optimal results. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with tool engineering on the planning, design, construction, procurement, proofing, and release of tooling. They will expedite, control, and monitor projects throughout all production phases, conduct failure analyses, and act as a liaison between supervisors and other departments to ensure effective communication and problem resolution. The role also involves reviewing and approving engineering documentation to ensure compliance with manufacturing concepts and practices, investigating design and process change requests, and participating in the review of non-conforming materials. Cost analysis for designated product lines and vendor coordination are also part of the responsibilities. The engineer will provide operational guidance to Manufacturing Engineering and Technicians and participate in Lean Manufacturing activities, including 6S and Kaizen events.
