About The Position

The position involves developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. The role requires interfacing with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and/or new products. Responsibilities include launching, releasing, approving, and implementing engineering change requests to support design engineering and operations with new and existing products. The candidate will estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements. Additionally, the role involves using DFx principles to reduce manufacturing and/or product costs and improve delivered product quality. The candidate will develop and use test procedures, assist with defining test specifications with design/software engineering, and may work with test engineering on the design and development of test fixtures. The position also requires gathering operational and test data, evaluating results, and taking corrective/continuous improvement actions. The candidate will evaluate work methods, procedures, and policies, participate in the development and maintenance of new and existing business processes, and determine root cause and corrective action analysis for issues that arise during assembly and/or testing of systems.
