About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer position in Catoosa, OK, is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of developing, establishing, testing, and improving manufacturing systems and methods. Collaboration is key in this position, as the Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with vendors to determine product specifications, arrange for the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products based on specifications and quality standards. Engaging in discussions with management, engineering, and other staff is essential to facilitate production processes while considering manufacturing capabilities and production schedules. The role also involves applying statistical methods to forecast future manufacturing requirements and potential, ensuring compliance with equipment maintenance tasks and schedules as per manufacturer's recommendations. Analyzing labor costs and devising workflow and staffing plans, equipment placement, and space requirements are critical to enhancing manufacturing efficiency and identifying and addressing bottlenecks. Additionally, the Manufacturing Engineer will evaluate and ensure the accuracy of metrics for efficiency and productivity, driving continuous improvement. Assessing capacity and allocating necessary resources to meet customer demand, identifying and analyzing process and design improvements to reduce costs and lead time, and maintaining compliance with all government laws and regulations pertaining to manufacturing processes are also part of the job responsibilities. The position may require suggesting new policies or procedures to enhance products or services, conducting training and assessments as directed, and documenting current and ideal practices while conducting post-completion audits to ensure compliance with improvement initiatives. Finally, managing 3D CAD design through to the commissioning of tooling and fixtures is a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, including the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality at work.
