Leidos Dynetics is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer at the Entry/Jr. Level to join a diverse team in Huntsville, AL, dedicated to creating unique solutions for complex problems. This position will primarily support the Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile Program, focusing on continuous improvement initiatives within the machining and assembly areas of the Mechanical Manufacturing group. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for various manufacturing engineering functions, including Manufacturing Execution System (MES) support, managing the Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) in MES and ERP systems, process development, participating in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, and providing general engineering support. The role requires collaboration with other manufacturing engineers, NC programmers, and machinists to develop process improvements and assist in the development of manufacturing and assembly fixturing and tooling. The engineer will provide shop floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues, work closely with quality engineering and manufacturing groups to perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans aimed at reducing or eliminating non-conformances. Additionally, the engineer will analyze engineering drawings and specifications to create process flows that meet requirements, continuously improve production processes through Lean initiatives, and maintain manufacturing BOMs in ERP and MES systems. The position demands a data-driven approach to develop technical solutions for complex problems, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing operations.
