About the position

As a Manufacturing Engineer I at Doosan Bobcat, you will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes and product quality. This position involves working closely with manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing departments to analyze and implement effective manufacturing systems and processes. Your expertise will contribute to both short-term and long-term economic objectives of the assigned area, ensuring that production meets customer demand efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct process analysis including time and motion studies, methods evaluation, and plant layout optimization.
  • Implement manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and materials while considering cost, time, ergonomics, quality, and quantity.
  • Assist in recommending changes and collecting information for capital justifications related to manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in the design and development of new manufacturing processes, systems, and materials.
  • Write and distribute manufacturing changes and operating work instructions to shop floor personnel, and train operators on product and process changes.
  • Assist in the installation of new equipment and train employees on its proper use.
  • Track submitted requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Update routings and Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) as directed by the manager.
  • Produce and publish complete documentation for all tools used in manufacturing.
  • Review engineering designs to estimate manufacturing costs and identify design changes for economical production.
  • Prepare justifications and recommendations for the procurement of new machines and equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field.
  • 0-5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related roles.
  • Product knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred, with Green Belt or Black Belt training or certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with product knowledge in manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies.
