This position involves working closely with manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing departments to leverage knowledge of methods and materials in specialized fields or general manufacturing. The primary goal is to optimize cost and quality across various manufacturing operations. The engineer will conduct process analysis, focusing on time and motion studies, methods, estimating, process engineering, and plant layout to ensure that manufacturing methods are balanced and that capacity is available to meet customer demand. In this role, the Manufacturing Engineer will implement factory manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and materials, taking into account associated costs, time, ergonomics, quality, and quantity factors. The engineer will also assist in recommending changes, collecting information for capital justifications, and participating in the design and development of new manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and materials.
