The role requires a minimum of five years of experience in either precision machining or direct medical device manufacturing. For those without prior medical device experience, a strong background in high precision multi-axis machining is essential. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with various machining processes, including CNC milling, CNC lathes, mill/turn, Swiss lathe, multi-tasking, grinding, and/or EDM. Additionally, experience in electro-polishing, deburring, cleaning, and passivation will be beneficial for those with a medical device background. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for reviewing solid models and developing efficient manufacturing processes. Proficiency in designing tooling, fixturing, and work holding devices, as well as creating process drawings using 3-D CAD software, is crucial. Strong process development skills and a proven track record of launching new products are required to succeed in this role. Candidates should also have experience working in a highly automated and technologically advanced work environment, which is preferred but not mandatory. A minimum of an Associate's degree in a relevant field is required, along with strong documentation, communication, and project management skills.
