About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer - New Product Development role at System One involves leading and supporting various engineering projects related to new product development and existing product changes. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while adhering to sound engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute plans for assigned projects in partnership with the team leader.
• Conduct formal reviews of draft Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and provide feedback to the off-site Engineering group.
• Determine production needs resulting from ECOs and procure necessary resources.
• Communicate and coordinate process/product changes to all affected departments.
• Lead cross-functional project teams for new product development.
• Coordinate trials and Engineering requests for samples.
• Develop and update process flow diagrams and layouts.
• Define processes and cycle times to meet customer demand.
• Procure items such as line side material storage and hand tools.
• Manage small capital projects including equipment refurbishment and material storage projects.
• Support manufacturing improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Three years of experience in various manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering manuals, shop layout drawings, and OSHA standards.
• Ability to write work area procedures, time studies, and engineering technical reports.
• Effective communication skills for speaking before groups of customers and employees.
• Experience working with large databases and identifying relevant data.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects consecutively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to project details.
• Knowledge of CAD software is a plus.
