About the position
The Manufacturing Engineer - Production at Diebold Nixdorf is responsible for designing, developing, and improving manufacturing processes specific to products. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing operations, ensuring quality and safety, and optimizing the flow of materials. The engineer will contribute to various aspects of manufacturing process design, including plant layout and tool design, while also evaluating and recommending improvements to existing processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop product-specific manufacturing processes.
- Improve and ensure effective application of manufacturing processes.
- Contribute to plant layout, tool design, and material selection.
- Support product/project operations by enhancing quality and safety.
- Evaluate processes, procedures, equipment capacity, and layout for improvements.
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tools.
- Ability to evaluate and improve process efficiency.
- Knowledge of safety standards and quality control measures.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with capital equipment installation.
- Familiarity with machinery controls and automation.
