About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer Proposal Lead is responsible for developing detailed proposals for complex build-to-test assemblies, focusing on Interface Test Assemblies/Adapters, cables, connectors, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). This role requires collaboration with internal teams and suppliers to ensure accurate cost estimation and project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on building and pricing Bills of Materials (BOMs) for various Interface Test Assemblies/Adapters based on a parts list, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Translate BOMs into detailed proposals, incorporating all labor costs necessary for assembly.
  • Work with suppliers and internal procurement for sourcing cables, connectors, and other required materials, ensuring all elements are accounted for in the proposal.
  • Follow an established build-to-test process, with all designs and specifications provided by the client.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with internal teams, ensuring timely and accurate project execution.

Requirements

  • Experience with complex wiring, cabling, wiring harnesses, and interface test assemblies/adapters.
  • Strong understanding of cost estimation for labor associated with technical build-to-test assemblies.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is preferred, though extensive relevant experience will be taken into consideration.
