As a Manufacturing Engineer at Baker Hughes, you will play a crucial role in the daily repair engineering of service shops, ensuring reliability and consistency on the production line. This position requires a comprehensive in-depth understanding of complex and highly technical concepts and principles related to rotary machinery, particularly gas turbines. You will be responsible for providing technical support and initiatives within the organization, contributing to the optimization of energy extraction, production, and processing. Your role will involve creating and issuing repair work orders in the Oracle system for inspection and repair of rotary machinery, identifying potential spare parts for repair items to enhance the spares procurement process, and preparing scopes of work and cost estimations, including inspection and completion reports for each job order. In addition, you will standardize inspection and repair routings and check forms, provide dispositions to Non-Conformance Reports (eNCR), and collaborate closely with the operations team to improve repair processes. You will manage plans to meet technical requirements and scheduled commitments, participate in technical contract reviews, and provide necessary data and input to the Com-ops team for contract bidding. A key aspect of your role will be driving continuous process improvement initiatives while supporting troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts.
