About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the Precision Fires Manufacturing Engineering team in Grand Prairie, TX. This role supports both development and production activities for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) system, focusing on ensuring new designs are manufacturable and cost-effective while meeting scoped requirements. The engineer will collaborate with various teams and leadership to manage production activities, validate production lines, and support tooling and design reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Support hardware and tooling for MFC Mechanical/Electrical hardware and Supply Chain.
  • Lead Production Line Validations and supplier visits.
  • Provide internal manufacturing shop support and Earned Value Management.
  • Assist in proposal support and tooling management.
  • Conduct design reviews for producibility and Make or Buy coordination.
  • Collaborate with Program Leadership and cross-functional teams to meet program objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline or related technical field.
  • Current Active Secret Clearance.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in design for manufacturing.
  • Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Process improvement experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical/process issues.
  • Demonstrated competency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
  • SAP Experience.
  • Cost / Schedule / Budget Responsibility.
  • Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
  • Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) experience.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Verbal, Listening, Technical Writing.
  • Ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical people.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
