This position is specifically for a level 4 Manufacturing Engineer assigned to the F-35 CFF/LFF Manufacturing Engineering Team, where you will serve as the LFF Manufacturing Engineering Lead. You will report directly to the F-35 CFF/LFF Manufacturing Engineering Manager. In this role, you will perform essential floor support to address immediate production constraints, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for developing corrective actions and leading projects aimed at improving the production system, with a focus on reducing Scrap Rework and Repair (SRR) costs and hours per unit (HPU). Additionally, you will conduct manufacturing evaluations of engineering changes and play a crucial role in mentoring and fostering the growth of junior-level Manufacturing Engineers. Your expertise will also be needed in assisting with integration efforts between various coatings build sites, ensuring that all processes align with our high standards of quality and efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Perform floor support to solve immediate production constraints.
  • Develop corrective actions and lead projects to improve the production system, reducing Scrap Rework and Repair (SRR) cost and hours per unit (HPU).
  • Perform manufacturing evaluations of engineering changes.
  • Aid in the mentorship and growth of junior level Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Assist as needed with integration between other coatings build sites.

Requirements

  • Experience with low observable coatings.
  • Experience leading root cause and/or corrective action efforts.
  • Experience with project management and/or leading.
  • Experience reading engineering blueprints.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with LFF operations and processes.
  • Possess good working relationship with members of Production, Quality Assurance, and Materials & Processes organizations.
  • Possess good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of F-35 production line practices and requirements.
  • CATIA V5 experience.
