The Manufacturing Engineer Trainee position is an entry-level role located in Plymouth, Indiana, as part of a comprehensive manufacturing training and development program. The primary focus of this role is to develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product specifications and manufacturing methods. Trainees will be expected to drive product and process changes aimed at reducing costs and lead times while simultaneously improving quality and delivery metrics. In addition to technical responsibilities, this position includes a mentorship component, providing trainees with valuable corporate exposure and guidance from experienced professionals in the field. The role requires a proactive approach to supporting manufacturing production processes, ensuring that all technical needs are met effectively. Trainees will be involved in determining the flow and sequences of product and process manufacturing, assessing material and labor requirements, and identifying quality inspection points. Furthermore, the creation and maintenance of manufacturing routers and processes will be a key responsibility, ensuring that all operations are streamlined and efficient. Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position, as the role may require working extra hours to ensure the completion of assigned tasks. Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing production processes with all required technical needs
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes by deploying product and manufacturing method enhancements

  • Create and maintain manufacturing routers and processes
  • Must be able and willing to work extra time as necessary to ensure completion of assigned tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Engineering
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position
