About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer at Actalent is responsible for addressing complex manufacturing and quality issues within an ISO certified environment. This role involves utilizing advanced mechanical fabrication knowledge to support product lines, launch new products, and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges. The engineer will work closely with a team to ensure quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex manufacturing and quality issues.
• Perform and analyze root causes of failures and create corrective action plans.
• Support drives manufacturing by maintaining product lines and launching new products.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Convert CAD files and understand specification drawings.
• Fix work instructions and update Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Troubleshoot issues on the floor related to product quality or assembly issues.
• Create Bills of Materials for new products.
• Draft work instructions and assembly build instructions.
• Address and troubleshoot errors in assembly.
• Manage projects and implement capacity improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial.
• Minimum of 3+ years of engineering experience in an ISO certified manufacturing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical fabrication processes.
• Experience with tools such as 8D, 5-why analysis, and corrective actions.
• Ability to create jigs and fixtures.
• Proficiency in CAD drawing conversions and understanding specification drawings.
