About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer at Husco is responsible for supporting the development and installation of new manufacturing equipment and processes, implementing continuous improvement activities, and resolving equipment performance issues. This role emphasizes problem-solving and technical knowledge to address root causes of issues, ensuring efficient production operations and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Support New Product Development by creating and developing manufacturing system concepts to fulfill business needs.
  • Maintain current systems and equipment through analysis, troubleshooting, and improvement to maximize production and efficiency.
  • Work with advanced engineering and equipment suppliers to determine designs and configurations for new equipment and upgrades.
  • Demonstrate project management and technical expertise, including scheduling, tracking, and resource allocation.
  • Interface between Design and Production to ensure manufacturability of designs and compatibility with existing equipment.
  • Actively support continuous improvement activities through equipment and process design and participation in plant-level initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production employees to improve operations through coaching and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical knowledge.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with PFMEA, DFM, and CAPP activities.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as PPI and 5S.
  • Project management certification or experience.
