This role is pivotal in developing and evaluating new manufacturing processes while improving current process capabilities, efficiency, and overall productivity across all areas of manufacturing for both new and existing products. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the Corporate WIN Strategy, which aims to enhance operational excellence and innovation within the company. The responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer include programming and troubleshooting CNC equipment, designing tools, fixtures, and gauges, and determining process parameters to meet production goals and quality standards. The engineer will be tasked with developing innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production problems. This involves conducting thorough process analyses, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, and collaborating with suppliers while gathering insights from operators and production technicians. In addition to process development, the Manufacturing Engineer will refine and enhance existing processes by applying continuous improvement methodologies and Lean manufacturing principles. This includes analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to improve manufacturing efficiency. The engineer will also be responsible for assuring product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished products, and establishing standards to validate manufacturing process requirements. Furthermore, the role involves evaluating capital equipment investments, preparing cost justifications, and managing the implementation of capital equipment projects. The Manufacturing Engineer will also develop tooling and fixtures for new products and processes, work with tooling vendors, and prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes and engineering procedures. Sharing specialized knowledge with team members and representing Parker on specific projects are also key aspects of this role. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related Engineering or Technology field, along with 5-7 years of relevant experience, particularly in automation and robotics. Proficiency in CNC programming and hands-on troubleshooting of CNC equipment is essential, as well as strong math skills and familiarity with CAD software for creating process prints and designs.
