About the position

The Manufacturing Engineer at EssilorLuxottica is responsible for providing technical support and leadership in operational sustainment, industrialization, and continuous improvement within the North America manufacturing network. This role involves collaborating with various departments to enhance existing technologies, processes, and equipment reliability, ensuring high-quality results and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, direction, and guidance on improving existing technology, processes, and equipment reliability.
• Implement tools, systems, and technology to maintain and improve existing operations.
• Translate technical knowledge to functional groups and training requirements for day-to-day manufacturing support.
• Leverage lean tools, including value stream mapping, to improve overall manufacturing cycle time and reduce work-in-progress (WIP).
• Support and lead the validation of equipment, consumables, and other process parameters for operational and quality improvement.
• Guide the standardization of processes and materials across all manufacturing shifts.
• Partner with quality assurance to develop quality control plans to sustain operations and deliver product results.
• Develop and direct procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, etc.)
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement
